I am sooooo new to this – help!
I had a small crack – the bell was still stounding great – I used JP Weld in the crack and it probably is still drying but NOW it sounds dull; dead; like a thud sound 0-p-=–009i Why? Do you think it will come back after the JP completly hardens??
The crack dampens the vibrations, and/or stops them, which affects the sound. To work properly, it must be one solid piece.
IF possible, fill the crack completely….just covering it won’t improve the sound. Also, don’t try ringing it until repair is completely dry.
