Here’s a bell that I have been researching, which I thought members might enjoy.

Beautiful 3 dimensional Native American in full head dress on the top.

Brass, 5 3/4″ high with a 3″ bell on the bottom. Bell looks to be a stamped brass type, pretty common with an iron clapper. It’s the head figure that makes it worth while!

I believe it to be a souvenir bell. The lozenge sports an apple in the middle with the words “WENATCHEE WASH” U shaped text going around it.

The Wenatchee are a Salish Tribe from the Chelan Lake area of Washington State from my researches. (Sorry, I am a Canuck so I apologize in advance if my US Geography on the other side of the continent is off!) The valley is a major apple orchard area, so the Lozenge makes perfect sense.
Interestingly “Wenachee” appears to translate to “Robe of the Rainbow”!

Haven’t figured out who the head is of, clearly a chief, yet. Working on it!
