All brass with lead fishing sinker for clapper.
      5 1/4″ high 2 6/8″ wide 2 3/4″ deep.
seller calls it a VMG Colonial Hostess bell.
Probably correct due to clothing style, but would like to get more info on it.

I think the VMG comes from the back, lower part of the dress. There is a well worn marking on it.
To me it looks like a V beside a G with a flag stuck on the top, and a two dot bulls eye below.
But it could be a VG with a well worn M above it, mostly rubbed out and a copyright symbol below?

The inside mount for the clapper looks to be a simple twist of thick copper wire staple.

      Any opinions out there?

Here’s the markings, did them in separate submission to keep together.

      Hey Sam! (Kallie Bell Gal)

Thanks for your e-mail. Tried to reply but got a bounce back from your address saying it was not correct. (weird as I just hit ‘reply’ so it’s the one you entered!

I don’t mind at all you contacting me using the e-mail system of this board.

Yes you are correct, this is the same bell!Too bad they don’t give a lot of explanation about it though. I am watching it closely to see the price it fetches. I think it is a bit more worn than mine, but still very nice.
