I need some information. Would you assist me in finding out about the Toby Bell Collection.

How many are there? I have four, Robinson Caruso, Long John Silver, Mrs. Havisham, and Samuel Pickwick..I did look in several of my bell books, and all of Dorothy Anthony’s no luck.

I’m sure are ABA group as the information on the Toby’s.

      Thanks.

Interesting Puzzle. You don’t give any information as to what the bells are made of, or sizes, or markings.

So far I have found that these are likely “Royal Cornwall” Ceramic Bells.

One seller was selling “A TWELVE PIECE TOBY BELL COLLECTION by Royal Cornwall including “Robin Hood”, Long John Silver”, Robinson Crusoe”, “King Arthur”” So you are looking at at least 12 styles. Although the King Arther appears to also be a sub-collection as I have come across references to a number of different ones by this company.

I would suggest approaching the “royal cornwall Museum” to see if they have any information. (A search for royal cornwall turns that link up.)

As a side note, I came across a reference to the American Bell Association below while searching:

If I come across any other information, I’ll post it here.

This is the complete set of 12 bells.

      An internal sticker reads:
      Copyright 1983, Royal Cornwall Ltd.
      Made in Japan
      (company logo)
      The Toby Bell Collection
      (name of bell)

The bells were designed and sculpted by Douglas Tootle. The clapper is a white plastic ball,
suspended by a gold chain that is clipped to a ceramic loop. Each bell is ~6” inches high.

Rear: Gandalf, Peggotty, Robinson Crusoe, Miss Havisham, Long John Silver.
Front: Samuel Pickwick, Guinevere, Tom Jones, Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood, Maid Marian, King Arthur.
