My wife, the main collector in our house, occasionally needs a clapper put into a glass or other non-metal bell. I have always struggled with what should be a simple task. But now have a simple technique that works.
      1) Instead of trying to use Super Glue, I use a contact cement like Duco. It grabs and adheres instantly.
      2) I bought a very large pair of tweezers. I think they are a medical style. They are almost foot long. I only paid about $3.00 for them. They allow me to delicately place the clapper inside where fingers don’t want to go.
      3) I called Fenton sales and bought a couple dozen glass bead clappers on chains ready to install. I got two lengths, short and not so short.
