      From NECABA News, January-February 1998:

Jean Haglind asked if the 1997 Sunbonnet Baby bells were from the original molds. Also, were they smaller than the original bells and with less detailed backgrounds?

Page S-2 of The Bell Tower, July-Aug. 1992, carries an article “Royal Bayreuth Bells” by Dorothy Malone Anthony. Anthony states in Fig. 1 that the original stone decals were thought destroyed in WWI but they were found intact in the archives in 1977. Fig. 2 states “Thus, we have the reissued set of seven Sunbonnet Baby bells, all a bit smaller than the originals with brighter colors. Otherwise, they are exact replicas and in a Limited Edition of 1500, all 3 3/8” high marked “Western Germany”.
