Welcome to the ABA! › Bell Talk Forums › Large Bells › Seeking information on a Fulton Pittsburgh Bell
Our newest member in the ABA has a bell that weights 60 #. It is cast by A. Fulton – Pittsburgh and is a silver material. It is 13″ round and is 14″ high. Can anybody tell him anything about it?
Ron: Your bell is bronze. Go to Fulton Pittsburgh in our search (top of page, right side) for lots of info on this foundry. If you can upload a photo we’d like to see the bell.
This is a small Fulton Bell by the original Andrew Fulton and is purported to have been used on the Pennsylvania Canal that ran from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia prior to its replacement by the Pennsylvania Railroad along the same route.
