I have recently acquired a set of horse chimes which have a lovely sound and have cleaned up quite nicely but one of the clappers is missing. There are three clapper but there should be four.
The horse chimes are here: http://s1074.photobucket.com/albums/w414/dpike866/?action=view¤t=876239166.jpg
This photo shows the component parts. http://s1074.photobucket.com/albums/w414/dpike866/?action=view¤t=876239164.jpg
This is one of the clappers. http://s1074.photobucket.com/albums/w414/dpike866/?action=view¤t=876239173_B.jpg
Could anyone please point me in the direction in which I might locate a replacement clapper.
The clappers appear to be brass. Bevin Brothers made steel clappers that size, but recently was destroyed by fire. Bells of Sarna makes small brass clappers, and you might be able to get some that size.
