      Dick in New Zealand says:

We are trying to locate some history of a Church Bell, located here in our area. It was made by R E Goulds, 181/2 Seneca Falls, New York. Serial No 8106 06374 (as far as we can assess the Numbers) We believe it is over 100 Years old, and was installed at the Norsewood Lutheran Church. Any information at all would be very much appreciated. Many thanks indeed. Best Wishes from New Zealand Dick McAvinue

If you can help, please post a response. If you need help posting, please contact me at coordinator@americanbell.org. Please be sure to reference this post as from “Dick in New Zealand” if you are going to send information to me. Thanks

Dick: Google “Seabury S Gould” then go to the website “goulds pumps, history of goulds”. It’s the complete story of the firm. Cast iron pumps were the principle output but many other cast products, including bells, were made. Pump production continues to this day. Your bell is well-traveled!

My Goulds no 33 has a beautiful but lonely melancholy sound. I love its beautiful tone.
