I have just been given a large bell un marked with a big ball over the yoke. It has the appearance of a riverboat bell with squire steel upright or cradle. I has original clapper and crank . It is bronze and rings in the note of D…. I have looked for a company name but nothing shows . The clapper is very large and it was used as a school bell in the turn of the century. Could anyone tell me the value of such a lovely bell? The clapper is about the size of a baseball, kinda larger for a bell but I can tell it is the original one.
