      Betty,

The “Bell Talk” Forum is on the ABA website for the convenience of people who wish to participate in discussions about bells or ask questions about bells of other Forum members. It is not a place to ask questions of the American Bell Association. That should be done by going to the main site and contacting the ABA. Participation on this forum is optional for members. The American Bell Association is an all-volunteer collectors’ club and does not pay anyone to monitor the forum and respond to questions.

Had you gone to the “Search” box in the top right corner of this page and written in “1811 bell”, you would have found there are many postings about your bell on the Forum.

An ABA member named Max Kurillo has done extensive research and writing about these bells that are now known as “Mexican Type Souvenir Bells.” You’ll find several responses from him about these bells if you should decided to do a search on this forum.

      Betty,
Your posts only list 4 days between postings, and if you look through this forum, you will find your 1811 bell mentioned many times, thus there is plenty of information on it and your nasty comments were not needed or warranted. These are modern Mexican bells that are cast in bronze and artificially aged to look like old mission bells. They are worth no more than $15-$25 depending on their size.
