We have a Naylor & Vickers bell in the Preble Congregational Church in Preble, New York, dated 1857, with a serial # 355. It is 32 inches high and has a diameter at the mouth of 38 inches. It also is stamped with Sheffield and cast steel. I have found it on the Naylor & Vickers index but it is listed wrong. I would like to get it listed correctly and would be interested in knowing how much it weighs and it’s approximate value. Can anyone help?

Thanks for brief details of the bell, I’d be interested to see photos of the bell & its fittings.
From the NV catalogue your 38″ bell will weigh about 870 pounds.
