My dad has Parkinsons and over the years he has collected bells. He has not been able to deal with for several years. Was wondering where I might help finding out what they are worth. They are mostly small bells all kinds and shapes. THANKS CJTURENR

A bit late–perhaps you have already found your answer… There is an article on this site under FAQ about selling items that might help you. Did your father keep any kind of record of his collection with type, manufacturer, cost, etc? If so, that would be best place to start. If not, you would need to determine what he has in the collection sorted in some way, perhaps by maker, theme, or type. If he owns any well-known designer or maker, the price of these can increase in value. Searching for like or similar items on current auction sites might give you a general idea of what items are selling for. This could be very, very time consuming. I have over 4,000 bells in my collection, and I have kept track of what I paid for them. In today’s market and economy, I would not expect to profit on very many of them. As always, their value is only what someone is willing to pay for them. Good luck on your research.

Does anyone know of anyone that would like to buy a large quantity of bells? We have Lots of brass, crystal glass, ceremic, china. My father has now passed. He didn’t keep records. He just liked to look for different bells and purchase them. Thanks

Please go to viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13 and read the rules for sellers. The American Bell Association does not allow free advertising for people who want to sell a collection.

Sorry we are just overwhelmed with the task we have at hand. I am finding some good information on your site. My father had been a member of your association many years ago so I thought I might ask. Thanks

      Dear CJ,

I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your father. May he rest in peace.

I couldn’t agree more, a collection is only as great as how you will let others see it. I only have 30 bells at the moment and though that is a small collection only, it brings me great joy when I get to share it to others and get praise/recognition from their end toward my small yet marvelous collection. I would really like to see how much photos/stills you could provide for us here.

I agree with our friend “ecooker”
I guess you have to share your photos on this site and/or like me:
