These are my twins. The one on the left is signed “Andre Charpentier” and came to me in 2004 out of the collection of Anselm Lange. The one on the right side I aquired recently in France however without signature. Otherwise the two bells are identical. They are beautifully made with fine details. Lange described the bell in his nice bell book “Lady – as master of the house” and as being of French origin. I think he is right but for me the girls are getting ready for a rural French dance party in their nice traditional regional dress.
Since I could not find any information on the signature “Andre Charpentier”. I would be much interested if anyone in the ABA community can give further details.

Just learnt from the wonderful information page of Alan Burgdorf that the correct name
of the artist who created these bells is “Alexandre Charpentier. That solves my problem.
Thanks again ALAN for your helpful research work.
