      Hi,
      This bell came with a diving helmet that i bought awhile ago. i have no information on it and was wondering if you might be able to give me some. it is 14.5″ wide by 16″ high.

      If you go to the box at the top of the page that says “Search” in it, type in “Navy Bell”, and click on the word “search,” you’ll find links to all of the postings on the “Bell Talk” forum that talk about Navy bells. It could make for some interesting reading and, possibly, you may be able to find answers to most of your questions.

      This bell is probably WWI vintage. In WWII, small bells such as this were made of steel. Navy bells had USN. US was usually used on Army boats & Ships (Yes, the Army had ships to transport its troops and to support its amphibious landing activities). This size bell probably came from a Tug or other small boat.

      it seems that no matter how hard i look, i cant find a picture of a bell just like this one.
      it seems to be taller and and not as wide as most ships bells.
