I’m looking for a bell foundry in New York (or Jersey), I could even travel to Boston. I’ve been doing some research and can’t find a single bell foundry in the area.

Please let me know if anyone knows a place!

      Thanks

Hi, Mercedes166, If you go to http://www.towerbells.org/BellFoundries.html, you may find some help. Foundries listed on this page may not necessarily be still in business, however.

Your best bet may be to do an Internet search for bell makers/bell foundries.

If you can give us an idea of what kind of research you are doing and what kind of information you are seeking, ABA members and Forum members may be better able to help you.

Just to let you know, many ABA members will be attending the annual ABA convention next week so they may not be available to post a quick response.

      Good luck!
      Carolyn

You didn’t indicate if you are looking for a N.Y. foundry which is currently making bells, or if you are looking for foundries which have made bells in N.Y., nor did you indicate if you are talking about New York City only, or New York state. In my book, Large Bells of America, in the section titled Manufacturers Listed By State, I list 66 firms which made bells in N.Y. state. Many of those, of course, were in N.Y. City. — Neil Goeppinger
