Does anyone know what years Lois Springer wrote her “Bells” columns for “Hobbies” magazine? (The magazine is no longer published, but I have found a few in used book stores.)
I have a 1954 ABA book that indicates she was writing the columns then, and I have a 1961 magazine that contains her “Bells” column. The 2-3 columns I have seen were quite informative. It would be nice to know what years to search for. I find that my bell collecting has expanded to include collecting books & article to assist in bell research.
PS. Of course — The best resource ever is past issues of “The Bell Tower”. The Bell Tower Index on this site is invaluable since I have many years of past issues.
Kay in Texas writes the following response to Diane’s request:
My dad had catologed all those Hobby Magizine articles and they are copies. I think those Lois Springer articles were written in the early 1970’s. I had them packed to sell at convention auction so I will have to put them back out when I am feeling better. If Diane wants more info I’ll do what I can. In the meantime some others may also have some ideas.
Kay has had a stomach bug. It’s not a good time of year to lose your energy! Get well soon, Kay!
