I am in possession of a large cast iron bell that was made in Seneca Falls, NY
How would I know a value and how would I find an interested buyer?

You could keep a watch on ebay and follow the auctions for any Seneca Falls Bells. You could also do an Internet search for sellers of bells and inquire of them what the going rate is for such bells. But, be sure you have the information they will need about height, diameter, completeness of the bell (clapper?, bracket?, markings?, wheel?, etc.) before you contact them.

You might find an interested buyer by posting a notice on the “Bells for Sale” section of this forum. Please read the directions for posting before you make a posting, though.

You can also buy an ad in the ABA’s magazine, The Bell Tower for as little as $5.00 for a three-line, one column ad or $8.00 for a 3.25″ x 2.5″ (eighth page) ad for ABA Members. If you are not an ABA member, the cost of each ad is an additional $20.

Unfortunately, I do not find a place on this website that tells people how to place an ad for a bell for sale. If you want to know how to contact Mark Goodson, our advertising coordinator, please contact the Internet Coordinator. You will find her contact information on this website.

      Good luck!
