Here’s an interesting Brass Bell with Iron handle.
It has the appearance of a wire wrapped end, but is clearly designed that way (not a wire, a 1/4 inch thick iron handle stretched and wrapped like a wire at the end). The bell is brass, as is the unusual clapper (1 1/2 inch tube of solid brass) hung with a loop of brass in a single link of a chain link design.
It has an inscription on the side “KARLSRUHE GERMANY” over top of a date: “APRIL 30 1954”.

Karlsruhe is a city in Germany on the Rhine River at the foot of the Black Forest and is fairly close to the French Border.
I can find nothing out so far as to why the date is so specific and important.

It has the appearance of a souvenir bell.

      Any thoughts out there?

Shucks, I forgot to put in the vital stats!

It’s 6 inches tall, (2 3/4 inches for the bell alone).
with a 2 inch wide skirt and a 1.5″ long clapper.

Appears to be a brass bell and clapper with iron fittings.

      Very light, thin walled, construction.
