In the process of doing some historical research, I’ve discovered a connection between the Jones foundry of Troy NY and the McShane foundry of Baltimore MD. Marcus R Jones, son of Eber Jones and brother of Octavous Jones, was the superintendent of the McShane Bell Foundry from about 1875 to about 1882. This was during the period when Henry was expanding his manufacturing interests beyond the original bell & brass foundry to include an iron foundry, plumbers’ supplies, an enamelling plant for bathtubs etc., a cabinet works, and possibly other ventures.

Marcus isn’t in the city directory for 1883 or later, so either he died or he moved on to another city.
