This bell is marked “ABA Chicago Covention, June 27 – 30, 1967.” I have looked through Becky Mayer’s Bell Tower supplement entitled, “Memora-Bell-ia, Souvenir Bells of the ABA Conventions, 1945-1980” and I find only the Chicago Water Tower bell as the official convention bell.
I am wondering if anyone knows what this bell is. Perhaps it was a “thank you” gift given to certain people by the president or someone. I’m very curious. I’m sure someone out there was at that convention and knows this bell’s story!
This was not an official convention bell, but was produced and sold by a member in the bell sales room. From time to time, ceramicists have produced commemorative items for sale in the bell sales room that are not official ABA Convention souvenirs. Perhaps someone will remember who produced and sold this bell. That convention was the weekend after my wedding, and I did not attend.

I believe this bell is from Sally’s Gift Shop of Harmony, MN.
Sally was an ABA member from 1960 to approx. 1985; who did produce ceramic bells and personalize them for special people and events. But this is just my feeling due to the appearance of bell and the writting.
