I inherited a substantial bell collection from my grandmother. While alot of them I’m assuming are junk (aside from sentimental value of course), there are a few that I have questions about. Will post them here to get your thoughts.
This first one rings like an angel. Very high pitch and sounds “perfect” if that makes sense.
The bell in your first posting is a Tibetan Lamasery Bell. Please read the discussion at viewtopic.php?f=6&t=708&p=1549&hilit=Tibetan+Lamasery+Bell#p1549 to learn more. Old versions of this bell that are in good condition are quite desirable (I paid about $25 for one about 30 years ago). These bells are still being made and so many of them are “reproductions of reproductions”. If you do an online search for them, you’ll find quite a lot of information.
P.S. I agree that the bells in this collection are “sentimental value” type or souvenir bells. The one thing that jumped out at me is the horse and buggy. Does it have a bell attached to it? It looks like it has been painted. I don’t know much about bell toys but others do. This might be the gem of the collection!
