Need as much info and price ideas for a bell marked cast by A Fulton’s Son & Co Pittsburgh RA 1890. I have read the only bells they made were bronze so am I safe to assume it is bronze ? It is about 18 inches at base. Thanks for your help !!!

Bonnie: Enter “fulton” in the search (above right). There are several posts concerning this foundry. Your bell is bronze.

It’s called bronze rust, caused by the tin in the alloy. Watch final selling prices at eBay for bronze bells of similar size. That is the best value guide there is. Your bell has several chips on the lip which might bring down the price.

the rust you see was from the iron hardware that was on the bell at one time..the TIN in your bell is none ferrous and will not rust.
