    I wonder if anyone in your organization might be able to put an approximate date to this crotal bell. It was recovered in an area that has been under continuous cultivation since about 1763. My interest would be in determining if it is more likely to be 18th or 19th century.

    Could we get a shot of the attachment side too?
    Also, is the pea inside still there? (Is it a rock or rough metal or a bead?)

    Thanks for taking a look, Garry. Not sure what the material for the pea is, I would guess it is not metallic.
