Measures 10 1/2 inches tall. Base is ovoid and measures 6 inches across at the widest. Heavy weighing between 6 and 7 pounds. Is missing the clapper, round brass ring inside top for one to hand from. Pictures show how made from the top, an open hole and others seemed to be plugged.
Inside bell on right side is a repair. Last pic shows that same repair from outside along with a tag found on the bell, not readable, when put there not known.
I have looked all over and do not find any kind of bell like this. Suspect it is Asian although I find NONE under that category. Is not new for sure, doubt it is actually an antique. Suspect the “repair” might not be an actual repair, rather meant to suggest it is old and repaired.
      Any help would be appreciated

Looks rather like a camel bell from the Middle East. I have one like it that I found in Syria.

I think you are correct. Most camel bells I found were different. Did find one very much like this called a nested camel bell…..would of had a set of two bells inside that also acted as a clapper.
