I just came across an old bell and was trying to find some info on it. I have included some pics to help. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for helping.

You have a C.S Bell Co No.4 bell.

CS Bell Company was the largest bell foundry in the U.S.

Prindle Station bought the molds and still produces some of these bells and parts.

I do not believe the uprights that you have are original, but then, I’m no expert. It also looks as though your yoke has been repaired at some point, as I don’t believe the weld that is visible would have been part of the forging process (if it’s a weld that I see).

All in all, it’s a pretty cool old bell. I hope you enjoy it!
