Can Anyone help me to identify and value this bell? I have attached an image. It measures 20″ tall x 28″ wide at bottom and 12″ Wide at top. The pulley is about 27.5″.

      Any ideas?

      Thank you!

Around the yoke that hold the bell it says:

      The C.S. Bell Co 28 hills bro.o no 28 yoke 1892

      Any ideas?

      Bellman,

If you haven’t already done so, please look at our section of the “Bell Talk” Forum about Bell Foundries, Manufacturers and Artisans. There are many postings there with information about the C.S. Bell Co. Also, you will want to read Neil Goeppinger’s article in the ABA Library’s “Articles About Bells” at viewtopic.php?f=19&t=47 .

This is a nice C. S. Church Steel Alloy Bell. It is missing the original “A” frame brackets. It could bring $400-$500 from the right person.
