THis bell of Italian origin could very well be from the foundry of Guiseppe De Levis.

Your bell is a beauty. I agree that it appears to be Italian. I would guess that it was cast in the mid 1800s and was proabaly used as a church or convent bell. It is too small to have been a steeple bell and may have been used in a monastery or convent as a bell to call the nuns or monks to prayer.

This bell very well could be from the Guiseppe De Levis foundry as I have found a bell that was auctioned last year by a major auction house that bears the same style mount as the one I have. If anyone has any history especially pictures and / or drawings relating to their bell castings that they could share that would be great.
