Heather has a unique, old Evangelist figural bell and asks:
wondered if you could tell me anything about these two bells I don’t think they are American. I have no information at all on them so anything would be much appreciated. Thank You for your time, Heather
I have posted the other bell in a separate posting.
If you can help, please post a response. If you need help posting, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be sure to reference this post as from “Heather’s Evangelist bell” if you are going to send information for me to post. Thanks

This Evangelist Bell is somewhat unique. It has the typical skirt with the symbols and Latin names of the four evangelists, but instead of the usual open loop, Christ or Mary handle it appears to have a Piper. I don’t know the significance of the Piper. There are quite a variety of Evangelist & Pelican Bells, but this one is different. I have seen modern versions of the same bell in Brussels that are imprinted with Belgium inside the rim. I assume that the older versions were also cast in Belgium or France. They have been used as tourist bells for most of the 20th century.
