While out metal detecting a good friend of mine stumbled upon this little beauty. Any information about how to date it would be so helpful!

I tried to upload the images but it gave an error. If you think you’d be able to help more by seeing the images I will be more than happy to exchange them over email.

      Hello Greg

      Thanks for your question.
As has been mentioned you need to resize your photos.
One image has now come through and it would be nice to see the others.
The maximum file size you can upload is 512KB
The simplest website for resizing that I have found is …
      http://picresize.com/
Browse to where your picture is located
Click Open, image will upload to picresize website
      Click Continue
Leave all default settings as they are
      Scroll down to bottom
In step 4 “Save As” – enter 512 in MaxFilesize box
Click I’m Done, Resize My Picture
      Click Save to Disk
Click Save, this will save the resized picture to your Downloads file
You will find the picture renamed as rsz_original name

      Hello G Snyder!
Actually, if you search the articles here you should be able to find the one I wrote a few years back on these bells. I went through the history and some of the points to look at, such as how the halves were joined, that gives you hints on how old the bell is.

      Hope that helps!
