      Sandra Peterson sends this tip:

      A solution I found for cleaning up bronze and copper bells that are crusted over that does not hurt the finisth: Lemon juice and salt rubbed on, then coated with a LIGHT coat of salad oil to bring out the texture. I tried this on an 1811 bell and was surprised to see all of the flower work.
