Hello – I am attempting to gather information regarding a cast iron bell that has been in my family for over 50 years. The bell stored indoors and never displayed. My mother is 89 years old now and does not have very much information regarding the bell. Any information you can provide regarding the type of bell (school, church, etc.), manufacturer, age, value, would be greatly appreciated. The bell is in excellent condition with no cracks. The bell is approx 22 inches across. Thank You

It was probably used on a school house or perhaps a small church. The original yoke, rope wheel, and A-frame stands are missing. Someone has improvised the device for hanging. The name of the foundry was most-likely on the yoke. It resembles the bells of Blymyer-Norton in Cincinnati but I cannot say for sure.
