I remember reading about these, and have been keeping an eye out for one.
As I recall, this is called a “Canadian Beaver Bell” sold by the Hudson’s Bay Company.
It’s a standard brass animal bell with the word Canadian on the rim twice, separated by a single Beaver on each side. It’s 3 1/2 inches tall by 3 3/4 inches diameter. Non magnetic except for the wire holding the clapper.
However my mind sometimes plays tricks and I can’t seem to find my references to this one again.
I suspect this to be a late model bell (as in 1970s-80s ish, and am hoping it is an HBC bell (or am I totally out to lunch! 😕 ).
