      I suggest a friendly exercise ”Bell of the week” to promote our collections and to know each/other better.

      step 1 – every Monday, members send to admin, Carolyn Whitlock of General `Bell Stuff` Discussion the picture of one bell from he’s/she’s collection;
      step 2 – same Monday Carolyn poste all pictures (1,2,3,4,…) as a weekly topic;
      step 3 – starting from Tuesday to Sunday, all others vote for the bell they like as a comment (ex. I like bell nr. …)
      step 4 – next monday Carolyn proclame the bell of the week

      To make it easier, the administrator can propose for each week the theme (ex. first week = crystal bells, glass bells, clay bells, painted bells, bronze bells, silver bells, lady bells, figural bells, handle bells, animal bells, bells for cattle, wooden bells, antique bells, crotals, tiger bells a.s.o.)

      I have on my site a chapter ~bell of the week~ I present to my fellow countrymen; this week is a shaman [url]bell

      I wait for feedback!

      Dear Ovidiu,

      I like the idea of people posting pictures of their bells. However, people should post their pictures themselves. When I help people post pictures and/or messages, I do it as a courtesy and to encourage participation. I realize that many of our members have limited computer skills so I do what I can to help them.

      People who are not members of the American Bell Association do not realize that the job of Internet Coordinator (forum administrator) is a volunteer position, as are all ABA jobs except the one done by the magazine (The Bell Tower) editor. She gets a small stipend.

      Having said that, there is another option you might consider and that is posting a picture and attaching a poll or survey. You can see such a poll in a posting made by Garry Middleton on his Joan of Arc thread at viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3254. You would make a regular posting and then add a question and options for answers. Perhaps Garry can tell you more about how to do this. I’ll contact him and ask him if he can help.

      Thanks for your understanding.

      Admin (Carolyn)
