For May I have choosen this dancing couple – as dance into May.

It is the work of German sculptor Siegfried Zimmermann, born in 1927.

He worked mainly in the city of Hannover and surrounding aereas.

First time I came across this bell in the book of Anselm Lange
      “Europ√§ische Tischglocken” page 277.

It is one of the few bells I had never seen before and I understand
that only very few copies (if any) exist.

The bell is made of bronze, 14 cms. high, with a remarkable sound, charm
      and expression.

Another interesting choice, Manfred. I like the way the torsos “grow” out of the base.

You might like to see one along the same theme, a figural marriage of an Art Nouveau couple mounted on an animal bell base (12.5 cm, 5 in). I received the figures like this, don’t know how/where they were originally used.

Your bell seems more dynamic – swirling motion; whereas this seems more static – tighter little steps.
      1960 vs. 1880?
