      Good evening,l have a candlestick made by BELLS OF SARNA INDIA,does anybody know how old this candlestick could be please thank you R Smith.

      Roy,

      If you read Mr. Sarna’s article at viewtopic.php?f=19&t=656, you will see that his bell and brass phase began around the 1950s, give or take a few years. It’s an interesting article and I encourage you to take a few minutes to read it.

      These candlestick bells were sold in the early 1960s.

      Harry, thank you very much for you information,i did not know a it was bell,when i bought on ebay it was described as a antique or early 19th century candlestick,when i recieved the candlestick i knew right away was not as described,i have now got between early 60s to maybe 1989,thank you , ive enclosed photo

      I didn’t see the picture prior to my last post. Although this appears to be Sarna Brass, it is probably from early in the 1950s. The bell candlesticks that I was thinking of had a typical “cup” shaped bell with candle holder on top as the handle and came as a pair. I’ve not seen this particular style before.
