I am new to the site and I am interested in getting to know people in here. Are there any people in here from Houston, texas or the surrounding areas? I have a pretty nice collection of bells that are ceramic, porcelain, brass, glass, and crystal. The main part of my collection is crystal bells, and I really go after the crystal bells that have labels on them. Anyway, like I said I am looking to get to know people that have the same interests as me and that can understand and relate to the things that I am talking about when it comes to bells. Thank you.

This member has submitted an electronic application to join ABA and will become a
member as soon as her check is received. The Texas Chapter plans to provide
her an invitation to the March meeting that will be held in Dallas Texas at the hotel
that will be used for the June 2009 convention.

Wonderful news, Ron!
Welcome, Pansy! Please give some serious consideration to attending this June’s convention. It won’t be closer to you for quite awhile, I suspect! Be sure to read the article at viewtopic.php?f=19&t=473 about ABA Conventions. It needs some revision but the article will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect! You’ll find that ABA members are the nicest people!
Please keep posting!

Howdy & welcome Pansy!
The Texas Chapter of the American Bell Association is busy at work making plans for the 64th Annual ABA Convention that is being held in DALLAS, TEXAS June 25-28th. The Texas Chapter will be holding our SPRING meeting at the DFW Airport Marriott Hotel which is the site for the upcoming convention and I hope that you can make plans to attend. This hotel is just one mile from the DFW International Airport. Our meeting will be the second weekend in March — March 12 & 13.
The last time the ABA Convention was held in TEXAS was way back in June of 1990. That was my first American Bell Association convention and I now count 17 under my “belt”. Its a blast to be around other bell collectors who indeed UNDERSTAND bells . I have been a member of the TEXAS CHAPTER since that convention and enjoy my friendships with other members from Texas as well as the many bell friends I have both here in the USA and throughout the world.
I look forward to meeting you soon,
Texas Chapter Member…and
Convention Chair for the 2009 ABA Convention being held in DALLAS TEXAS!
