I inherited this lovely bell, but there are no identifying marks that I can ascertain. I would appreciate help identifying and placing a value on this fine bell. She is 15 1/2 inches wide at the open end and the bell part is about 12 inches tall (not counting the knob assembly on top). She weighs about 90 pounds. The clapper appears to be iron, but the bell has a green patina which suggests brass or bronze. The tone is higher that you might expect but the sounds sustains for a long time with several lovely overtones.

      Thank you for your help.

      Sincerely, Howie Marion

Need help identifying this fine old large bell made by American casting co. Birmingham al. #3 on the bell. Inherited from my father who had it all the years I was growing up.

Its a farm bell. There were 4 sizes I have a number 2. They sized from nos 1 to no. 4 This was the next to largest farm bell. I have a no 4 cs bell co one also. They almost looked identical.
