These 2 bells are from a company that was in Minneapolis, MN. called the Seven Seas Traders. The paperwork and their boxes say “world famous bells for collectors. Bells Proclaim Events of Man”. Both bells are porcelain, 5 1/2″ high and 4 3/4″ wide at the base. The 1970 bell has Innitzer Peace Bell Vienna, serial # 620, embossed on it, the 1971 bell has Onstmettingen Cathedral Germany serial # 602. Both were made in Western Germany. My father bought these together 45 years ago. I have not been able to learn anything about them or if they have any value.

      Dear Denise,

Please try to resize your photos and repost them so we can see what you have. It will increase your chances of getting responses if people can see what you have. If you don’t have success re-sizing them, you may email the pictures to me at coordinator@americanbell.org and I’ll try to resize them. It will also help if you can tell us what company made the bells. If you have the paperwork and the boxes, the name of the maker should be on them.

      Good luck,
      Carolyn

      Dear Denise,

I suggest that you do a google search for “Innitzer Peace Bell Vienna” and for “Onstmettingen Cathedral Germany Bell”. You may learn why these two bells are of importance and, therefore, understand why the Seven Seas Traders may have decided to feature them in their store. You may also want to search on that famous online auction website, too, to see if they have either of your bells listed and follow the auction to see what the sales price is.

I have been able to resize your pictures. Here they are:
