I recently purchased a railroad bell in the Toledo Ohio area. The bell is 15 inches across the bottom and has the numbers 2130 – 2283 and 2571 stamped into the top. I was told that these are the numbers of the different locomotives that this bell has been on. My question is can anyone tell me what railroad this bell could possible be from ? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi David, The numbers stamped into the top usually are the engine numbers the bell was used on….and very unusual for a bell to be used on 3 different engines.
Try railroadiana.org website, they have a search tool for RR lines/locomotives, etc. Also, check for other numbers on clapper, etc. as they may also help you. Good luck! W
