It’s a Foote Foundry steel bell made at Fredericktown, Oh. Check our search (top right) for info about Foote. This size (7) was common in rural schools and churches. The yoke is a replacement and there was also a rope wheel with straight spokes. Foote side supports are very ornate. Their bells have a more pleasing ring than steel bells of some of the larger foundries. Bell production at Foote ceased around 1910 but the company is still in business.
