65a – HAGENAUER VIENNA BRONZE GIRL w BELL / BELL PUSH RINGER
For your consideration is this wonderful Austrian Vienna polychromed bronze servant bell electric ringer from the early 1900’s. It has a bone pusher. Unmarked but looks to be Vienna type in the Hagenauer or Bergmann line.
Has great quality and detail. This beauty is in excellent condition with no dents, scratches, chips, fleabites, hairlines or cracks. Height: 10 cm

The seller has been flogging a group of bell pushes for several months, all good quality, but at what seem to me to be high prices. It appears he has sold one.

65b – 1930 Elders & Fyffes ocean liner ship London-Singapore dining saloon bronze bell
A Nautical circa 1930 Elders & Fyffes ocean liner dining saloon bronze bell with sailor’s ropework pull and mounted on a double mythical dolphin bracket with a mahogany base. It is engraved “1st Class Dining Saloon, London to Singapore, Elders & Fyffes Ltd” with logo. Elders and Fyffes operated several “A” class ocean liners with divided passenger classes including Bayuno II, Cavina II, Ariguini, Carare, and Camito from the 1920s to mid 1950s. Their most popular period was mid 1920s to mid 1930s. Elders & Fyffes’ new ships starting around 1950 served a single class of passengers.
I purchased this from an estate auction which included a large collection of maritime antiques.
Size: bell is 7″ dia, 5-1/2″ tall. 21″ by 8″ overall. Weighs 35 pounds.
Condition: Fine with characteristic casting flaws in the dolphin bracket. Unpolished, old polish residue in the engravings.

I really like this one – a utilitarian bell but with attractive design, presumably in use for many years, and good provenance.
