46c – PETER TERESZCZUK Antique Figural Bronze Table Bell
This beautiful little cast bronze bell with bronze clacker depicts a Peasant costumed lady with a long ribboned bonnet, shawl and gown. The beautiful face appears to be inlaid carved bone or iv*ry. It is 4 inches tall, and is signed on the back of her skirt P TERESZCZUK FR.Dates from the late 19th Century or so. These bells by Tereszczuk are considered to be some of the finest bronze figural castings of the Art Nouveau era and are avidly collected.
Another of the Peter Teresczuk ivory-faced lady bells, this one with the AR symbol showing it was cast by Artur Rubenstein (not the 20C pianist). Note that the seller states “iv*ry” to comply with the current ridiculous eBay Politically Correct notions.
