UNUSUAL METAL BELL, GLASS EYES, REPRESENTATION OF A PIG, 19TH CENTURY, THE BELL FUNCTIONS.
LENGTH 18CM. HEIGHT 9.5CM.
This is the same as way back in Part 1, except that was an unusual silver model, while this is the more common cast iron. Wind it up, press the snout or the tail to make it ring.

Superb very rare reception table bell for a hotel counter.

A plunge type bell, which should ring on the downstroke and on the return stroke.
28b-3 Vintage Meriden Silverplate Figural Tap Bell C-1900
This tap bell features a young girl holding the plunger to the bell. the bell is engraved SRD. The bell stand measures 7″ across and is 7-1/2″ tall. The bell taps rings great! The girl is very slightly loose but there are screws and nuts you can tighten up on the bottom. The piece is marked Meriden on the bottom. There are two holes on each end of the piece. Maybe there was a handle? There is no damage that I can find. Everything is in good working order. This item is antique and over 100 years old.
Similar to the plunge bell above, but this is a simple tap bell – one tap, one ding.
Reserve not met. My guess is that it should sell in the $400 – $500 range.
