A large group of bells, mostly silver, was offered by one Florida seller, accurately described with pictures.

All are good quality, with two that I would class as outstanding. Most sold well above what I would consider a normal price, and well above what I would have expected or wished to pay. I shall show one picture of most of the bells, then cover two in detail and two from a British auction. I consider the Shiebler the best buy.

Rare Gorham bell, sterling, not plate. Base design is probably related to Greek Hippocampus theme.
198b – TIFFANY & CO. STERLING SILVER BELL FANCY ENGRAVED 3.35 TROY OZ
TIFFANY & CO. HAND CHASED BELL WITH GRAPE & VINE DECORATION & INSECT WITH ORNATE BORDER IN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL & WORKING CONDITION, NO BREAKS OR REPAIRS HAS COUPLE TINY PIN DINGS. HALLMARKED AS PICTURED. MEASURES 4 ” HIGH X 2 5/16″ DIAMETER. WEIGHT 104.2 GRAMS OR 3.35 TROY OUNCES.
Nice bell, though 60% of the price is probably due to the Tiffany name.
With these two final items we move up another order of magnitude. This British seller always has the highest quality pieces, is well followed, starts most at 99p, lets the market decide what it is worth, and sells almost everything offered.
198c – ANTIQUE 20thC RARE GERMAN NERESHEIMER SOLID SILVER GILT WAGER CUP, LONDON c.1905
Antique early 20th Century stunning German Hanau Solid Silver Wager / Marriage Cup, extremely large, richly gilt, the cup has the look of a noble girl supporting over her head a domed smaller swiveling cup unusually shaped as a shell, the cup chased composing beautiful floral patterns on the elaborated dress. The silver wager cup was created for use in wedding banquets, where the spouse drank wine from the bigger cup and offered his bride to drink from the smaller, avoiding pouring out even a drop of its content. This piece is Hallmarked German Hanau silver, between the late 19th Century and 1905. Maker’s marks Neresheimer & Co, one of the most important Hanau silversmiths.
In Great Condition – no damage, just general wear.

198d – ANTIQUE 19thC FRENCH SOLID SILVER CAST FIGURAL DINNER BELL, M FRAY, PARIS c.1850
Antique 19th Century rare French Solid Silver cast figural dinner bell, the handle beautifully modelled as a young naked girl with a hand-mirror. Hallmarked French Silver (950 Standard), Paris, year 1850-60, Maker’s mark M FRAY (Martial Fray, fine silversmith active from 1849 to 1861.
In Excellent Condition – no damage, just general wear.
