126a – Antique Hallmarked Solid Silver Reception Desk Bell, Chester 1900 – W58
Vintage Condition-The silver casing has come loose from the wooden base, also the silver casing has some dents. The wood is scratched.
This is a Antique Hallmarked Solid Silver Reception Desk Bell.
It is hallmarked and dates to Chester 1900, makers mark is JDWD.
You turn the dial at the top and the bell rings.
Measures 4″ in diameter and just over 3″ tall.
Reasonable condition, could use polishing, not bad for the sale price.
I don’t think we have previously seen a Chester hallmark.
126b – UNUSUAL RARE pat1800s VICTORIAN SILVER PLATE FIGURAL HAND TABLE HOTEL DESK BELL
An unusual circa 1800s Victorian figural Hand Silver Plate Bell. The bell does have some wear to the silver plate as can be seen in the images, The push button is loose however the bell is in working condition. The overall size is about 8″ high. The top collar is stamped with Pat. dates Aug 1863, Apr 1870.
Uncommon, though not rare. You sometimes find them on a wooden base.
One of the late 19C mechanical bells from Connecticut.
Fairly standard price.
126c – Antique Figural Victorian Woman Desk Counter Maid Bell Silver Plate Brass
Measuring 4 1/2“ tall by 3 1/4“ in diameter this antique sliver plated brass bell depicts a Victorian Woman with a full skirt. When you press down on the little lever, a clacker rings on the inside of her skirt.
