101d – ANTIQUE RARE ORNATE BRASS WITH TRIPLE NICKEL BELLS SLEIGH MASCOT
YOU ARE BIDDING FOR A RARE ANTIQUE BRASS WITH TRIPLE NICKEL BELLS SLEIGH MASCOT.
THIS WAS ATTACHED TO THE FRONT OF THE HORSE DRAWN SLEIGH.
EACH OF THE BELLS HAS THE ORIGINAL TRIPLE CLAPPERS, RINGING LOUDLY WITH A GOOD TONE.
ON THE TOP IS A HORSE HAIR PLUME {RED WHITE AND BLUE VERY PATRIOTIC}.
WOULD LOOK GREAT ON THE FRONT OF A NARROWBOAT FOR THE QUEENS JUBILEE THIS YEAR!!
THIS IS A GREAT RARE ITEM, 10″ X 9″ FROM THE TOP OF THE WOOD BASE TO THE BASE OF THE HORSE HAIR.

Outside my usual area and I don’t know normal prices,
but I wish I had bid on this very attractive item myself.

101e – Lrg Antique Aesthetic Period Bronze Key-Wind Desktop Counter Bell
This heavy Bronze Bell measures 5” in diameter by 5” tall and is decorated with Medallion heads and a classic Aesthetic design. The spring is still in strong condition, however the toggle, which catches the spring, is not grabbing. If the high bidder does not have someone who can fix this, I do. (Just contact me after the auction and I will get you a quote on what it will cost to restore this bell.)

101f – RARE SOLID SILVER TABLE BELL BIRMINGHAM 1907 TURTLE / TORTOISE SILVER BODY
A RARE SOLID SILVER TABLE BELL
IT WAS MADE IN BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND IN 1907
THE SHELL IS SOLID SILVER
THE MAKER’S MARK HAS BEEN BADLY STRUCK SO THAT THE FIRST LETTER ARE MISSING
AND ONLY THE ” & Co ” WORDS ARE READABLE.
I DO KNOW THAT GRAY AND CO WERE MAKERS OF THIS TYPE OF TABLE BELL.
IT IS RARE BECAUSE THE HEAD HAS A HALL- MARK, MAKING IT SOLID SILVER ALONG WITH THE TAIL.
IT MEASURES 6 INCHES LONG
THE BASE IS METAL AS ARE ALL THE INSIDE WORKINGS
IT WORKS BY WINDING THE KEY UNDERNEATH AND THEN PUSHING DOWN THE TAIL.
IT HAS A GOOD STRONG SOUND.

No marks for the mechanism, possibly German. You would normally expect
that pressing down the head would also activate the ring.
