The church that i use to go to had a no 8 which was 33 inches wide. It cracked sometime in the 1940s. Back in 2000 i ground the crack out all way thru and left it open for viborations. It used to have a ‘crash bunk” sound but for 10 yrs it has rung without cracking anymore and has a low bong sound. The church was built in 1870 and im saying yours was made around that time if it says ‘Rumsey & Co Sennical Falls NY. I wish i could hear what our bell sounded like before it broke. Your bell would prob sound the same.
