Re: Re: Help Identifing A Bell for ABA Member
SSSarna contracted with brass founders in India and other countries to design and manufacture bells that were patterned after traditional religious and animal bells that were used in the various South Asian Countries. He had wooden water buffalo bells from Bali, various Indian bells, and others. These were made in Java and are patterned after Water Buffalo Bells. This bell came in four different sizes form about 3 inches diameter to about 8 inches diameter. My set is a graduated set on a nylon cord. The largest bell is probably worth up to $50 and the smallest about $10. A full set could possibly bring $100. They were produced and sold in the early 1960s by Bells of Sarna.
